Coaching for Creatives action research

7 May 2021

Client: Creative Scotland and Clore Leadership

Jeanie Scott and her colleague and Clore Fellow Lindsay Dunbar co-founded Coaching for Creatives in 2021 as an action research pilot project, funded by Creative Scotland (with support from Clore Leadership).

The aim of the pilot was to build more capacity for, and access to coaching for creative individuals during the pandemic, but also to inform development of a coaching model and network to benefits cultural leaders in Scotland long term.

The pilot project delivered 110 hours of free coaching to 32 creative leaders over six months, trained and accredited 11 new creative coaches and established a network of 26 professional coaches accessible through an online platform. You can read the evaluation of the project here.

Drawing on learning from the study, Jeanie and Lindsay launched Coaching for Creatives as an independent company and social enterprise in April 2021 which is now delivering bespoke coaching support to individuals and creative organisations across Scotland.
