Artists Support Programme Evaluation

5 November 2024

This report for Luminate demonstrates that artists who take part in peer networks and coaching experience improvements in their wellbeing, professional practice and confidence.

Culture Radar worked with Luminate in 2022 to evaluate a pilot Artist Support Programme, and was delighted to be invited to work with the organisation again in 2024 to evaluate the project's next iteration.

The programme tested approaches to supporting artists who work on creative ageing projects. Working with consultant Nicola Naismith, support was provided for two facilitated peer networks in Angus and Edinburgh, and one-to-one coaching for a third group of artists across Scotland.

The evaluation report outlines the main findings from the programme, demonstrating that the artists who took part felt that there had experienced improvements to their wellbeing and professional practice development, and that they had grown in confidence.

The full evaluation can be downloaded here from Luminate's website.
